Zion National Park, Utah

Brian Head, Utah
This was Elaine's first ski trip, and she did great!

Steven went down the bunny slope once, but he'd rather play in the snow...

The kids went snow tubing the next morning.

The kids favorite activity:

Here they are at a small pond outside of our hotel room in Bryce.

Here Linh & Ed are tying down our bags. They have to do this every morning. We only had trouble once with the bags coming loose, when a big truck went by and made a big wind.

Bryce Canyon National Park...
Off on a 3-mile hike...
This trail was very slippery, Linh fell twice!

Our next stop was Lake Powell.

The naturally flat rocks made them easy to skip on water. Here Steven is gathering his supplies...

Kevin & Elaine went for the larger pieces...

Next day, we went on the Horseshoe Bend Trail near Lake Powell.

Lastly, here we are at Grand Canyon National Park.

The trail along the rim has no railing, kind of scarry...

Very nice! Were there lots of other people around? Looked like you were the only people there. Scary about tying the bags on top of the car like that ... I am just imagining all that luggage flying off onto the freeway at 80MPH ...
amazing pictures. i am planning a trip into utah this winter break. guess i should make a stop at zion.
