Since I've gotten a lot of emails w/ regards to the "girl" next to me in the picture, here's the story of how we met. First of, her name is Jeanette ("Nettie"). She's an obgyn at Kaiser in Riverside. She's 30, originally from Beaumont, Texas. She went to Duke, then Texas A&M for med school and UC Davis for Residency. (Yes, she's just a tad bit smarter than me)
We met at a Asian speed-dating event back in April. I still remember the event. The first couple of girls that evening were quite pretentious. They felt like they were "too good" to be at such an event and that they were only there "because their friend made them come"...
After six short 5 minute dates, lucky seven came around. Nettie had a lollipop in her mouth when I first met her. I asked her if she was a dentist and she smiled... She seemed genuine and down to earth. I remember asking her if she had a choice of a a guy who was really good looking but she didn't have much in common with or someone who wasn't a stud but she had more in common with, who would she choose? She said the latter, so I knew I had a chance... =)
I checked her name at the end of the evening and was hoping that she did the same... As luck would have it (must have been the bald head), the rest is history...

Our first "date"... She was post-call and I remember thinking to myself "Man, she looks this good after spending 24 straight hours in the hospital?"

Horseback riding in Corona... she grew up in TX so she knew what she was doing...

Bowling w/ Jason and his wife Eileen.

Her younger sisters
Susane and Theresa. Susane moved to LA to become an actress. Then the other two moved to LA... Sounds familar... =)

It's funny, each time I hang out w/ her friends, I feel like I'm in an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" Last time, there were 3 obgyn's, 1 dentist and 1 ER doctor at the same table! Talk about coverage...
So we went running last weekend and after 5 miles, she was like "That's it?". So we went another 2...
